Showing posts with the label submissive

I'm sure you've never heard this before...

The other day, while reading a book or article, I came across a word I'd never seen or heard before in my life: milquetoast. Being the inquisitive word nerd that I am, I immediately set off on a two-pronged mission: First, to determine whether this was, in fact, a bona fide word, and, if so, what in the world it meant. I had an immediate hunch it might have something to do with breakfast, likely because it sounds like "milk and toast." But I was dead wrong on that front. To my surprise, milquetoast is indeed a word! According to my dictionary app, it means "a meek, submissive, or timid person." Synonyms include childish and unassertive. Now that you know the world's meaning, what comes to mind? To me, it conjures an unemployed 40-year-old man who still lives in his mother's house, plays video games most of the day, and lets whatever few friends he has walk all over him. Sounds rough, I know, but that's the scenario that played out in ...

The #1 thing men want women to do more in bed is...

What's the one thing that men wish women did more often in the bedroom? Not surprisingly, it's to initiate sex. Many men are frustrated by the fact that their partners expect them to always be the aggressors in the bedroom. "Why should I always be the one to break the ice?" they wonder. "It's the 21st century." He can start by talking openly with his partner about how he feels. If his wife's initiating sex would make him feel more desired, he should be upfront about it.  If s...

Do women like to initiate sex?

Based on what I have read and heard, while some women don't mind initiating sex, the vast majority of them prefer their partners to break the ice in the bedroom. The latter is certainly the case in my marriage, but it isn't as though I really mind -- at least not all the time. I'll admit that there are times I'd like my wife to be the aggressor. Who doesn't like surprises, right? But it's clear that 99.9% of the time, she wants me to take charge while she relishes the role of submissive. Women find sex to be more pleasurable when their partners are the dominant ones for one simple reason: the engine has to be warmed up before the fun starts. Whereas men need only see their partner naked to feel aroused, women need foreplay -- including kissing, rubbing, and so on -- to get in the mood. Men are visual creatures, while women are tactile. So, it would appear that most women are perfectly content playing traditional gender roles with their partners in bed. I...
