When I consider my closest friendships, I always ask one thing:  Would we have clicked in the same way had we met a year later?  Five years later? Ten years after? Chances are, we would not. The reasons why we gel more with certain people are almost self-explanatory. In general, most of our friends are close to us in age. It's not at all surprising given we probably met them in school or doing some activity that people in our age bracket might enjoy. I met my closest friends in different stages of my life: one in elementary school, one in middle school, one in high school, one in college, and one at my second job out of college. My wife and I have hit up three Walt Disney World parks over the last couple of days (hence the reason you haven't seen me post new content lately!) and let me tell you: Never in my life have I seen or been in so crowded a place. It's mind-boggling how packed the Disney parks get, especially Magic Kingdom. You can't walk a few yards without bumping into someone. I realize this is perhaps the busiest time of year to visit in light of all the holiday shows they put on. But they'll have to do something to contain the number of people going into these parks. Otherwise, pushing and shoving will escalate into all-out brawls, and mad dashes to go on rides might devolve into stampedes where people get seriously injured. Maybe it's just me, but the police presence at Disney has seemed rather light. Perhaps the massive crowds are indicative of the fact that Disney has become too big for its own good. Over the past few years, I've noticed how moms have been using sites like Facebook as their own personal baby albums. Granted, it's their page, and they have every right to post whatever content strikes their fancy. The issue is that some women take to these platforms to post pictures and/or videos of their children on a daily basis. As a result, I find my Facebook Wall inundated with baby-related content, sometimes for days on end. I suppose that many of these women are stay-at -home moms whose lives revolve around their kids and thus they use social media as convenient outlets through they can connect with other moms. I don't mind the occasional baby picture or video, but these moms go a little overboard. I can only see so many photos of something or someone before I get bored.
